Fun with updates

In this netbooting environment where the one netboot image has to support multiple systems, fun things happen when Apple releases a hardware-specific update such as the one they just released for the new AluMacs and MacBooks, which fixes some graphics drivers. The update wouldn't run by default on the white Intel iMac we use as our base system, so I did a little tinkering and found the following function buried in the .dist file:

function canHasDriveburger()

Ha. It wasn't the function we were looking for, but I had a laugh. The one we broke to make the installer work led to the installer breaking our system, so we have to restore it from its own image. Oh well!
