The terrorists won.

It's bad enough that I can now never re-enter the United States without having my biometric details scanned and retained for a zillion years. It's looking worse if I don't plan on gleefully handing over this same data (plus a wealth of highly personal information) to my own communist government, because if the latest scare piece is to be believed I won't get a passport renewal if I don't, whether or not I want a national ID card containing all this biometric information. This'll leave me unable to leave my own country except perhaps on my Icelandic passport.

That article worsened an already bad mood, which I need to vent about later. Guess who I'm not voting for in the next election.
